High Profile Audio Recording Engineer Expands Services Under New Brand, Chooses aro to Implement Branding and Marketing Strategy
Fort Mill, SC – Jake Hunter, one of the region’s most recognized and respected names in audio recording has announced his decision to combine three of his production entities under a single brand — Hunter Productions – based in Fort Mill, SC.
Formerly a Motown recording artist and long-time studio engineer, Hunter has owned and operated three other studios in his career. Between 1983 and 2000, Hunter ran Sun Sound, which eventually grew into Novus Productions, and later opened White Room Studios in Charlotte, North Carolina. Hunter’s studios experienced tremendous growth, drawing an impressive clientele. Among them were Gospel greats including Grammy-nominee John P. Kee and the legendary Vanessa Bell Armstrong. Later, as a studio engineer at Charlotte’s Studio East, Hunter lent his expertise to the nation’s finest beach bands including The Embers and Chairman of the Board, as well as artists Loonis Mcglohon and John Cougar Mellencamp, to name a few. Hunter’s credits include engineering three gold records, two platinum records and three Grammy-nominated albums.
Hunter developed state-of-the-art studios in Fort Mill (near Ballentyne), where he says he is able to maintain his Charlotte connections and also be near family. Hunter has asked aro to partner with him to introduce the new brand, a project that will include a redesigned web site, branding and marketing efforts, as well as organizing two upcoming events to introduce the array of high-quality services offered by Hunter Production Group to the audio community.
In this latest initiative, Hunter has made it possible to effectively meet the wide range of needs clients have in releasing a CD — from project start to finish. “I’m able to take all the worry out of recording projects for my clients,” comments Hunter. “I personally handle every aspect of a job, from the recording, to the graphic artwork, production, duplication and delivery of the final product.” Hunter will oversee operations for Jake’s Place, a multi platform high-end recording and mastering facility; Hunter Mobile Digital, specializing in large-scale remote recording; and Charlotte Disc, a broker for CD and Cassette duplication and manufacturing.
“Jake is a long-time friend and truly one of the area’s most respected names in audio recording. A great talent, ” comments aro President Chuck Robbins. “The aro team is committed to getting word out that Hunter Productions Group offers an unmatched combination of top-quality services under a single roof.”
